Don't Rush the Rituals

Speaking of bedtime rituals, I came across this blog post today.  I do not know any of these people at all, but was choked up and eyes opened again to s.l.o.w. living.  Living in every moment, seeing the gift in everything.

And when I'm tempted to cut our rituals short, to skip the handshakes and pink-promises and "remember when" stories they ask for when I'm just so tired at the end of the day...I need to remember the amazing woman who crawled up the stairs at the end of her too short life to tuck her sweet babies in bed one more time.

Give thanks in all situations, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
