When God is Loud

3 Gifts Loud:

-I am thankful that Hannah's bathroom is so close to our living room, because then I can hear her loud singing in the shower!  When something is wrong, even when I"m making supper- I can hear her call for help.  I pray that she never loses her voice when it comes to speaking the Truth, for speaking up FOR others...I pray that she always keeps her loud voice.

-Sometimes God's voice comes in small whispers in those quiet moments...and sometimes it seems like He is shouting loud and clear His Truth into my heart and life.  It seems like I have had many "loud" moments over and over lately!  No matter where I"m reading in His word (Judges with the kids, Psalms at lunch and Leviticus in my own reading time) the past few weeks I read over and over about trusting Him, his faithfulness and trustworthiness.  Over and over...loudly teaching my heart.  And I love it!  He IS trustworthy and I have to trust Him, I choose to trust Him with my heart, my life, my dreams and desires...

-Daniel and I have recently begun a new habit of praying throughout the day...we set reminders through iCal onto our phone to go off and remind us to pray at set times throughout the day.  (Wherever we may be, usually he at work and I at home.  But we're praying at the same time!  How neat is that?)  At first, these loud and unfamiliar beeps threw me off and I had to choose whether or not I was going to stop what I was doing to pray.  (Or should I just keep working and "come back to it to pray later"...yeah, like that's a good idea!)  But I LOVE it!  I have heard of this habit before, but was recently reminded when I read this blog post.  No more excuses for us!

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
